Hi there,Ā
I'm Dr. Tasha Turzo
Since 1996, I have been dedicated to helping patients with craniofacial dysfunction through the use of ALF (Advanced Light Force) appliances. I had the privilege of working closely with Dr. Darick Nordstrom, the inventor of ALF, in my Santa Cruz office, where we treated patients together one day a month for 27 years. This collaboration was not only an incredible learning opportunity but also a valuable service to our patients. Dr. Nordstrom's practice closed to new patients in the early 2000ās, and as demand for this specialized care remained high, I invited Dr. James Bronson, DDS, to join me in Santa Cruz. Although Dr. Bronson was based in Virginia, he flew to my office monthly until the COVID pandemic disrupted travel.
In 2014, Dr. Bronson and I began teaching together, focusing on streamlining and simplifying ALF wire activation. This became increasingly feasible with the support of complementary therapies, including myofunctional therapy, breathing coaching, neuro-reflex integration, OraLase and BabyLase therapies, and cranial nerve integration. Years ago, these modalities were either unavailable or underutilized, but today, collaboration with these specialized professionals helps address underlying "root causes" and allows for a more efficient ALF treatment process.
